Biography
Nicolas Bouchardie is a partner in the international arbitration group at White & Case, based in Paris. His practice focuses on international arbitration, specifically in relation to complex construction and commercial disputes. He is experienced in arbitration under the ICC rules, the rules of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and the UNCITRAL rules, as well as in pre-arbitration negotiations, mediation and dispute board proceedings. Based in Paris, and qualified in France and New York, Nicolas’ international outlook and experience was further strengthened when he spent time on secondment at a major energy company in Doha, Qatar. His economics / business background allows him best to understand the business models and strategies of his clients. Nicolas is a member of the Paris and New York State bars, as well as the US District Courts for the Southern District of New York. He holds a JD from Columbia Law School, a Masters in International Law from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an MBA from ESSEC Business School.
